About Matrix Materials Limted

Matrix Materials Limited (MML) was incorporated in 1998 but lay dormant until starting  trading in the later part of 2009. The company has two Directors, Edward Seekings and Alan Moores. Previous to 2009 Matrix Aggregates Limited (MAL) acted as the main trading company for the group.

MAL was formed by Edwards father now retired, to trade primarily as an aggregates company dealing with major building materials companies within the UK whose main area of manufacture was  brick and block production. Products supplied ranged form Furnace Bottom Ash (FBA) to the block industries and Pulverized Fuel Ash (PFA) to the clay brick producers for use in the firing process and also sold Coal and coke into various business sectors.

In 2009 Alan joined the company and MML took over as the main trading company for most materials other than the  Coal supply which still remains within MAL.

Matrix Materials Limited became an Associate Member of the United Kingdom Quality Ash Association (UKQAA) in 2010 and went on to gain major contracts for the imports of FBA and PFA into the UK from the Danish Oil and Natural Gas Company (DONG) and Vattenfall in Denmark. It also has access to major producers of FBA and PFA in Holland, Germany, Belgium, and France.

In 2011 MML also joined the Confederation of Concrete Block Association (CBA) with a view to consolidating the companies position as a major supplier to UK Blue Chip Building Products Companies and as such we supply to CEMEX, Hanson, Aggregate Industries, Tarmac, Lignacite UK, Thomas Armstrongs, Plasmor, Interfuse, and Besbloc.

Since 2009 MML has become more involved in recycling materials nationally and currently have glass processing facilities in Dagenham - London, Birmingham with a further site coming on stream in 2013 in West Yorkshire.

We supply recycled fuels to the cement, brick, and coke industries these being derived from the reprocessing of past waste tips nationally with the less volatile matter being used in the block making industry thus ensuring the full utilization of the waste streams contained in the tips. We provide a full service to crush and screen both prime and demolition aggregates nationally and onward sell all grades of fills and single sized aggregates to suit our customers needs.

We also process wood to all grades. supply plastics for fuel, Perlite, recycled from liquid gas plants, lightweight aggregate at around 450kg/m3 from recycled concrete blocks. and can crush and screen all materials using a variety of equipment on a nationwide basis.
